About Motors Liquidation Company

 The Motors Liquidation Company was originally created in 2009 as one of the legal successors of the General Motors Company. It was split into four different trusts. The first, to settle claims of unsecured creditors OTC Pink: MTLQU. The second, to handle environmental response for remaining MLC assets. The third, to handle present and future asbestos claims, and the fourth to handle litigation claims. The company owner was  a shareholder in the trust before the shareholders were given a final payout in 2021. This new entity is to be the successor to the first and longest surviving trust (MTLQU).
